Description: Located in the State Transportation Building, adjacent to the Boston Public Gardens and the Theater District, the Transportation Children's Center provides toddler, preschool, and full day kindergarten programs for children of State Transportation Building employees, other state employess, and the general public. The center has been serving the needs of working parents since 1986. A non-profit organization, the beautifully designed center provides a stimulating and nurturing environment which includes a well equipped, fenced in, outdoor roof-top play space where the children can enjoy a variety of fresh air activities. In our safe and attractive environment and with our professional staff and excellent teacher-child ratios, parents can have complete confidence that their children are getting the best possible care where the children will attain emotional, social, physical and intellectual strengths to prepare them for a rapidly changing world. Convenient access to the MBTA's orange, red and green lines are just short walking distances to the building and drop-off on-site parking is available for parents who drive in.
