Qualifications:

At CPC we truly believe that "it takes a village," to help children develop into strong, healthy, self-reliant adults. Therefore we have a team of loving caregivers with many years experience to guide your children on the path of success.

Philosophy

At Canyon Park Community Pre-school and Childcare we embrace diversity and strive to help children become global citizens. We promote respect, understanding and love for all people and encourage children to explore other cultures as well as their own.

We believe in being responsible stewards of the environment. Throughout our day we practice reducing waste, re-using supplies and recycling. We will also be learning how to grow different food items and composting our organic waste.

At Canyon Park Community Pre-school and Childcare we focus on keeping our home free from harsh chemicals and toxic soaps. We use all earth friendly, non-toxic cleaning supplies including dishwasher detergent and laundry soap.

We believe that self-esteem is the critical component to optimal growth in your children. In order for a child to develop high self-esteem, we focus on developing the socialization and self-help skills needed to succeed in other areas of development.

Just how well children learn to get along with others depends, to a large extent, on how they feel about themselves. If the adults who care for them have helped them to feel they are valued and competent, children are likely to be relaxed and friendly with others.

Play is the way children learn about their world, themselves, and others, and the way they develop the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in their lives. All children learn and grow in their own special way.
