Description of Center:

My goals are to provide a positive, safe, nurturing environment to all of the children in my care. I realize that most parents in today’s society do not have the opportunity to stay home with their children, so I intend to offer the next best option. I will strive to provide a safe, comfortable, stimulating, fun, educational environment in my home with a semi-structured day plan. Activities will include free playtime, structured playtime, large motor skill playtime, small motor skills activities, story time, arts and crafts, music and dance activities, nutrition, cultural activities, and other educational yet fun activities I will also provide nutritious meals and snacks, and encourage good personal hygiene skills and manners.

Philosophy:

The philosophy at Kids First Homecare begins and ends with creating a nurturing environment for all children. The beauty that children are born with should be observed and each child should be given the warmth, encouragement and tools that will help in their development. At Kids First Homecare, the goal is to create a respectful, loving, safe and educational environment for your child.

Qualifications & Accrediations:

I am a mother of 3 boys. I have over 12 years experience in childcare business and have been providing childcare in my home for the past 7 years. I am CPR/First aide and USDA certified. My goal is to give every child in my care the warm loving home environment while still offering a structured day and learning program.

I also have excellent references.

Meals & Menu Descriptions:

Kids First Homecare serves a balance and nutritious breakfast, lunch and two snacks each day at no extra charge. All meals and snacks are planned to meet USDA guidelines.

Curriculum Information:

INFANT CARE

Kids First Homecare loves caring for infants, and many toddlers enrolled today have been with me since their earliest days away from home! I understand that babies have their own individual needs, so I pride myself on giving our youngest patrons their own unique schedules. Each infant is assigned a crib for nap time, and are invited to play in a variety of settings safe for baby (swings, exersaucer, gated floor area), as their skills dictate. They are also given individualized attention from me, which is so important for stimulating baby's social development. Most importantly, I talk to my parents to make sure that we give each baby what he or she needs.

TODDLER CARE

Toddlers are important at Kids First Homecare, and I take extra care to give them the love and attention they crave while they are away from mom and dad. I operate our toddler program based on a daily schedule, though I sometimes alter the day's plans based on the children's needs. Lessons and crafts are a big part of the toddler program, and we study everything from colors, letters and shapes to animals, geography, and even space exploration! Kids First Homecare also emphasizes outdoor play and physical fitness, as I believe that healthy, active children grow up to be healthy, active adults.

5:30 to 9:00 Arrival Time - Free Play
Children may select toys, books, puzzles, and more from the shelves on their own.

7:30 to 8:00 Breakfast Time
If arriving after 8 a.m., please make sure your child has already had breakfast.

9:00 to 11:30 Group Activities, Preschool Curriculum, Arts & Crafts, or Outside Play
Weather permitting

11:30 a.m. to Noon Free Play

Noon to 1:00 Lunch Time

1:00 to 3:30 p.m. Quiet Time
Children do not have to sleep, but they do have to lie or play quietly on their mat so they do no disturb the other children.

3:30 to 4:00 Afternoon Snack

4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Art Time, Story Time, or Outside Play

PLEASE NOTE: This schedule is only a general guideline of your child's daily activities. At Kids First Homecare, I follow your child's lead. Our schedule may vary due to infants in care, children's wishes, special activity days, school schedules, etc.

For infants, I understand that each baby develops on his or her own timeline and has his or her own needs. For that reason, infants have individualized care plans developed to meet your baby's own personal schedule.

Registration & Tuition Information:

There is a $125.00 non-refundable registration fee that is applied to the child's last week of child care if three weeks’ notice of termination is given.

6 weeks - 2 years is $150.00
2 years - 5 years $145.oo a week
School age and up $125.00 a week full time (full time care)
After School Care (afternoon) $60 week
Before and after School care $85.00
Hourly care (after contracted hours) $5.00/hour
Back up care $35.00/day.

We are within walking distance of the new Bolingbrook
I am located near Mt. Pleasant Rd. Less than five minutes from the 168 bypass. Butts Road Primary is the school my house is zoned for.
