DESCRIPTION OF CENTER:

Large, clean, safe, Christian home that believes in good old fashion values. We learn good manners here and your children will learn their please and thank yous and how to share! I have several centers for the kids to play in. The centers are stories & language arts, math & manipulatives, blocks & building, housekeeping corner, creative art, and music & movement. We have lots of toys, books, dress up clothes, dishes, blocks, puppets and stage, play kitchen, art easels, instruments, games, etc. Outside we have a swing set combination clubhouse, riding toys, and a dual sit and spin. I furnish individual mini cribs and sleeping areas for each child. I provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. I also provide formula and baby food for infants.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I started doing daycare in 1979. I have three children all adults now and either in their own homes or my youngest is in a dorm at Rockhurst University. I have one granddaughter. Don't make me old here, I am a young Grandma in her mid 40's! I am a registered childcare provider through the State of Kansas with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. I am a member of Daycare Connection and I do participate in their Child Food Program. I am CPR and First Aid trained. I have taken several classes promoting education, health and well being of children. I have a Christian home and know the value of raising children with good values. I love to give hugs and watch out cause I do squeeze their stuffins (gently of course)!

PHILOSOPHY:

Children are the future leaders of tomorrow! My goal is to encourage them to reach their fullest potential. Along the way we will have lots of fun learning thru playtime and their daily activities. I maintain a small ratio of children in my daycare compared to the larger centers. I do this because I feel it is important to give one on one attention. I also believe in the children having the flexibility of the days activites and schedules. Sometimes kids want more outside time and the weather is nice so we can stay outside a little longer. I have learned what is important in life. Its not the money its the people, more importantly our children of tomorrow. My husband of 26 years died after a long illness in September 2005. I feel my compassion makes me a better provider. I live each day to the fullest and I enjoy life! I love kids and they sure do bring me love, joy and lots of laughter. I also love to tell the parents their cute stories and things their children have done. Won't you let me add your child to our daycare?
