DESCRIPTION OF CENTER:

I have a large, clean, safe, Christian home that believes in good old fashion values. We learn good manners here and your children will learn how to
say please and thank you and how to share!

I have several centers for the kids to play in. The centers are stories & language arts, math & manipulatives, blocks & building, housekeeping corner, and music & movement. We have lots of toys, books, dishes, blocks, play kitchen, dolls, cradle,
cars, baby mats, and instruments.

Outside we have a swing set with several baby/ toddler swings, clubhouse, picnic table, climbing area, sand and water table. I furnish individual mini cribs or pack and play,
and sleeping areas for each child.

I have a feeding table, a changing table, diaper organizer, exersaurcers, a jumperoo and a baby swing. I have several toys and items all for the infants
and toddlers in my program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

I have been doing daycare over 30 years. I have three children all adults now and living on their own. I have seven soon to be eight grandchildren.
Don't make me old here, I am a young Grandma!

I am a licensed provider through the State of Kansas with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. I am a member of Daycare Connection and
I do participate in their Child Food Program.

Classes include, Pediatric CPR Training, Child First Aid Training, Training Certificate of Safe Slumber, Health, Safety and Nutrition classes and Child Development. I have taken several classes promoting education, health and well being of children

I have a Christian home and know the value of raising children with good values. I love to give hugs and watch out cause I do squeeze their stuffins (gently of course)!

PHILOSOPHY:

Children are the future leaders of tomorrow! My goal is to encourage them to reach their fullest potential. Along the way we will have lots of fun learning thru playtime and their daily activities.

I maintain a small ratio of children in my daycare compared to the larger centers. I do this because I feel it is important to give one on one attention.

*Your home atmosphere has an overall feeling of satisfaction, contentment & security for your child. A Family Home Daycare is a home-like setting rather than a big facility so the child benefits from this similar atmosphere.

*Smaller child/provider ratios, with the same person always taking care of your child and small groups are less stressful to children and also less exposure to germs and illnesses.

I have learned what is important in life. It's not the money it's the people, more importantly our children of tomorrow. My husband of 26 years died after a long illness in September 2005. I feel my compassion makes me a better provider. I live each day to the fullest and I enjoy life! My life has moved forward and
I remarried someone special in 2011.

I love kids and they sure do bring me love, joy and lots of laughter. I also love to tell the parents their cute stories and things their children have done.

CURRICULUM:

Play-Based: In a play-based program, children choose activities based on their current interests. The play-based daycare is broken up into sections, such as stories & language arts, math & manipulatives, blocks & building, housekeeping corner, and music & movement. I encourage the kids to play, and we learn social skills along the way. Even though it seems like they are just playing, they are learning valuable skills, including important social skills and how to get along with others.

MEALS AND MENU:

I serve nutritious meals which include
breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
I also provide generic (Parent's Choice brand)
formula and baby food for infants up to 12 months
