Each child has their own pack n play or sleeping mat and bedding for nap time and is washed regularly.

I have four daughters who are now all grown and married with little ones of their own.
I am a registered childcare provider through the state of Kansas with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
I participate in the Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
Pediatric CPR Training

Philosophy:

My goal is to have all the children in my care to have a fun day where they are learning and playing while making new friends. I want your child to feel safe and comfortable and to feel like this is their 2nd home. I will provide your child with lots of love and attention along with daily activities.

I worked in a daycare center over 20 years ago for a very short period. There were so many children being ushered from one thing to another all day long with certain times for everything. It made me think of it as "fast food daycare". I decided to open my own daycare in my home in a more relaxed atmosphere and I have never regretted it.

The debate about home daycare versus structured daycare at a center has been going on for years. There are so many things that make home daycare a viable alternative to the structured daycare centers.

Here are some of the benefits:
* Smaller child/provider ratios, with the same person always taking care of your child.
* More ability for one on one time.
* Children are free to play, flexible schedules of playtime.
* A variety of activities, story time, music and dance in a home atmosphere.
* Personal interaction with the caregiver.
* Open communicatiion.

The choice is a difficult one. Your decision can be made easier by choosing the smaller, more intimate setting to allow your child room to grow. Your child will be in a structured learning enviroment from the time they enter preschool and throughout their school years. I believe that the time before this should be in a fun and relaxed environment as much like home as possible.

Call 913 205 9803 for rates and registration information. The first weeks tuition is required as a deposit and to secure the opening. I can only hold this opening for up to four weeks before the starting time. This deposit is non-refundable.

Meals & Menu:

I am with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) through the Day Care Connection. Providers are given basic meal patterns to follow (based upon food groups: proteins, fruits/veggies, breads & milk). I serve nutritious meals which include breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. I also provide formula and baby food for infants up to 12 months.
